Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun

At E3, Daedalic Entertainment and Mimimi Productions presented the first gameplay video of Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun. In the video, Creative Director Dominik Abé gave a preview of an early level from the game, and demonstrated some of the basic gameplay mechanics. The video also showed the special abilities for two of the five protagonists.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is set to release in Q4 2016 for the PC, Mac, Linux, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The gameplay video shows the game in it’s beta-phase.

The Story

In 1615, a new Shogun rises to power in Japan with the intention to bring peace to the realm. He recruits five specialists to aid him in his battle against rebellion. Each specialist has extraordinary skills for espionage, assassination and sabotage.

The Specialists

There is Hayato, an agile ninja who can clear enemies silently with his sword and shuriken. The Samurai, Mugen is more violent and can defeat more opponents at a time. However, as a result, he is less flexible. Aiko is a master of camoflage, distracting her enemies as a Geisha. Yuki, a street child leads enemies to their demise by placing clever traps and decoys. Takuma uses a sniper rifle to eliminate enemies from a distance.
