Planar Conquest, a turn-based 4X (“eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, and eXterminate”) PC game has just released on Steam. It was already available for iOS and Android devices. With sorcerer lords, 8 different races, several planes of existence, strategy game fans will delight in this new game by Wastelands Interactive.
Planar Conquest is an enhanced, reimagined sequel to Worlds of Magic, a Kickstarter-funded 4X game that was released on the PC last year. The game was developed to give players the great gameplay from the past, wrapped in a modern look. If you already own Worlds of Magic, you will be able to grab Planar Conquest absolutely free.
Leszek Lisowski, the CEO of Wastelands Interactive explained,
We know that Worlds of Magic had some things that required polishing even after release. We’ve been improving many game features in subsequent updates, however we’ve eventually realized, that if we want to unleash the full potential of our 4X project, we need to overhaul it and relaunch it. That’s how Planar Conquest was born. The game not only features new UI, enhanced AI, revamped graphics, intuitive map editor and more, but also will be expanded with cross-platform multiplayer once it launches on Xbox One and PS4. We’ve also made it available completely for free to all gamers who already own Worlds of Magic. This is our way to say thank you to the community, who trusted us and stick with us for all this time.
