Dragon Quest Builders for PS4 and PS Vita Arrives in October

In celebration of the Dragon Quest franchise’s 30th anniversary, Square Enix announced that Dragon Quest Builders will arrive on North American PS4 and PS Vita consoles in October, 2016. As a block-building RPG, players can gather and combine a variety of materials and tools to creatively rebuild Alefgard, a realm that has been destroyed by the Dragonlord.

The game features sandbox gameplay and an immersive story, allowing players to interact with many different monsters and iconic characters. In response to extravagant requests from citizens, players will be challenged to let their imagination run wild so they can create an infinite variety of unique structures. Dragon Quest Builders has an easy-to-learn, quick-to-master control system in place that allows players of all skill levels to create unique masterpieces with ease.

The Story

Many years ago, the realm of Alefgard was engulfed in an ongoing battle between the humans and the monsters. At that time, a hero tried to put an end to the conflict by confronting the Dragonlord. Unfortunately, the wicked king of the monsters, deceived the hero into a false deal. As a result, Alefgard was destroyed in the process. The remaining survivors were robbed of their ability to build. They scattered throughout the globe, living their lives in despair and apathy.
